Winter Arena Eventing begins next month!

Get geared up for British Eventing (BE)’s Winter Arena Eventing series that kicks off on 1 October 2023.

Winter Arena Eventing is open to both BE Members and non-members competing at BE80 to BE100 level, and consists of competitors first completing a round of showjumps immediately followed by a cross country course. The competitor with the lowest number of penalties is the winner. In the event of a tie the winner will be the one closest to the optimum time.

Arena Eventing provides both show jumping practice and training over some of the technical elements of cross country, all on an arena surface throughout the winter months. Each competition is also a qualifier for The British Eventing Bates Saddles Arena Championships held on the 25 February 2024 at Aston le Walls Eventing Centre, Daventry. Qualifiers will be taking place across the UK between October 2023 and February 2024, with the top-placed combinations in each class picking up a prized ticket to the final. Competitors just need to join themselves as a member (minimum PAYG which is currently £30 for the year) and register their horse for free if they wish to validate their ticket and participate in the Final.
