Superb weekend in the sunshine at Glamis Castle Area Festival

Glamis Castle Area Festival in Angus provided a fantastic weekend of competition for grassroots riders in Scotland, delivering a busy couple of days of classes in the glorious summer sunshine.

Congratulations to the 2022 Glamis Castle Area Festival Champions that were crowned:

  • Lola Shotton and Whitehawk Tilly – BE80 Area Festival Champion
  • Marion Vernon and Crannard Silver Relief – BE80 Open Area Festival Champion
  • Samantha Anderson and CHS Descarado – BE90 Area Festival Champion
  • Marion Vernon and Landleague Orlando – BE90 Open Area Festival Champion
  • Molly Bower and Atlas Eachan – BE100 Area Festival Champion
  • Rachel Kane and Ballykean Quality – BE100 Open Area Festival Champion

 

NAF Five Star BE80 National Qualifier

Huge congratulations to Wendy Ann Bell and Uran Holly Berry who won the NAF Five Star BE80 National Qualifier, they will be heading to the NAF Five Star BE80 Championship at Bramham International Horse Trials next year. Congratulations also to the top percentage of placed riders in the class who will be joining Wendy in the journey to Bramham.

 

BE90 and BE100 National Qualifiers

Congratulations to our National Qualifier winners and the top percentage of placed riders in the BE90 and BE100 National Qualifier classes at Glamis Castle, who will be fulfilling the dream of heading to The Voltaire Design Grassroots Championships at Badminton Horse Trials next spring.

There are two Area Festivals still to enjoy this season and entries are currently open for both:

20-21 August – Frickley Park, South Yorkshire

10-11 September – Chillington Hall, Staffordshire
