Nothing could hold back Team GB who smashed three records at the Paris 2024 Olympics to land Great Britain eventing Team Gold medal and Individual Bronze. Not only did we win eventing Team Gold for a record fifth time, but we also scored the lowest Team score after dressage, while Laura’s 17.5 dressage score was the lowest ever dressage score at an Olympics. What an amazing achievement from Tom McEwen, Ros Canter and Laura Collett who all demonstrated masterclass performances in horsemanship to bring home the goods.
The Silver Team medal went to host nation France (103.6) with Japan taking their first ever eventing Olympic medal with Bronze on 115.8.
In the individual rankings, all three Team GB riders rode beautiful clear rounds, which saw Laura and London 52 add another medal to the Team GB tally with Bronze. Germany’s Michael Jung took Individual Gold while Australia’s Chris Burton earned Individual Silver.
Well done Team GB! British Eventing and Great Britain are so proud of you!
