STATEMENT ISSUED ON BEHALF OF NORTON DISNEY HORSE TRIALS

Due to a change in circumstances Norton Disney Horse Trials is moving location to Speetley Equestrian Centre.  A statement from the organisers reads as follows:

NORTON DISNEY HORSE TRIALS IS MOVING LOCATION TO SPEETLEY

It is with great sadness that due to a change in circumstances at the venue, we have to announce that we are moving location. We are however, delighted and extremely excited to say that we will be hosting this autumn’s event at Speetley Equestrian Centre on Friday 25th October to Sunday 27th October 2024, only a few miles down the road! We thank you in advance for your support and patience at this time in awaiting this update.

Our aim, as the organisers, has always been to create a brilliant and fun weekend of eventing for the members and we are extremely excited to be hosting the event at such a wonderful boutique equestrian centre with such amazing facilities. The main hub of the event will take place around a surfaced central Show Jumping arena with the Dressage on well maintained and long-term pasture and the Cross Country over established farm land, with interesting topography and fences, ensuring a fun days sport for all our competitors.

We feel exceptionally lucky to have the most magnificent team of well-established supporters, officials and volunteers who have come together to enable this relocation to happen so quickly. Our ground team is already hard at work to ensure it will be memorable three days of competition to end the 2024, Olympic Gold eventing season. We would like to thank all at British Eventing for their guidance and support through this time and the generosity and kindness shown to us by the land owners at Speetley.

We very much look forward to welcoming all new and current members, owners and riders as we embark on this new and exciting chapter, and we would like to thank you all for your support over the years. Please do follow all the updates on our social media pages and we look forward to seeing you soon

British Eventing CEO Rosie Williams said “These things happen, but it’s been great to work with the organising team to enable the relocation of this important event in our Calendar”
