British Eventing is seeking a number of stakeholders to work with the Youth Review Panel. The objective is for the review panel to engage with and gain input from the stakeholder groups to help develop, assess and evaluate the effectiveness, impact, and structure of British Eventing’s existing youth programmes.
British Eventing is committed to fostering youth participation and development and already has established youth programmes and youth competition activities for 12- to 25-year-olds competing in national and international competitions.
Being part of a stakeholder group is a great opportunity to express your thoughts and opinions and help the development of youth eventing, including all regional, national, and international competition, training, and education activities.
Feedback and recommendations from the stakeholder groups will be an important input and engagement forum for our programmes to ensure that they align with the evolving needs and aspirations of all young athletes and ensure that we are able to grow our youth membership and offer initiatives to retain our existing members.
British Eventing’s CEO, Rosie Williams, said: “Young people participating in our sport is key to our future. We will take our time to listen to all interested parties, including reaching out to young people who have stopped eventing to ascertain what we can do to reengage them, and what we need to do better to keep young people in the sport.”
