British Eventing is seeking volunteers to sit on a Rule Review Group to discuss and formulate rules for the National and International competition for the year 2025 and beyond.
The primary objective of the Rules Review Group is to review, discuss, and recommend to the Sport Committee and through to the BE Board updates and changes to the rules for 2025 and beyond adhering to the timelines set out by BE, the FEI and other governing bodies. These rules should align with the established principles of simplicity, clarity, safety improvement, engagement, equity, expense management, welfare, and consistency.
The Rules Review Group will consist of major stakeholders who have a vested interest in the rule formulation process, with the group being no more than eight people plus the Chair and supporting staff of two.

British Eventing CEO, Rosie Williams, said: “This is an important piece of work from both an International and National perspective. We all recognise how complex the rules for any sport can be, and we should seize this opportunity to thoroughly review our rules and regulations. It’s crucial to listen to our stakeholders and ensure that our rules are easy to understand, promote participation, and maintain the highest standards of safety and fair play.”
