Osberton International – Still Accepting Entries

BEDE Events are pleased to confirm that ALL entries for Osberton International Horse Trials have been ACCEPTED, and entries have now re-opened for those looking to secure a last-minute addition to the event.

Having input the accepted entries into the timetable BEDE are pleased to have been able to re-open entries for all classes – FEI and National 3-Day. A limited number of spaces are available in each class and each class will close when remaining spaces are filled.  Entries are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.

The event would love to see further entries in the CCI2*-Ponies, supported by Project Pony, and the new National Novice and National Intermediate 3-Day classes.

The new National 3DE ‘trophy classes’ – the Restricted Novice Telstar Trophy and Restricted Intermediate Foljambe Bowl, last week had their entry requirement eased following calls from riders.

The amended qualifying criteria are as follows:

Restricted Novice – Updated Criteria

  • Riders not to have started a CCI2* or above in the 2023 season. National Intermediate and Advanced classes are excluded from this restriction.
  • MERs collected in the 2022 and 2023 season
  • 2x Novice MERs are required to compete

Restricted Intermediate Criteria

  • Riders not to have started a CCI3* or above in the 2023 season. National Advanced classes are excluded from this restriction
  • MERs collected in the 2022 and 2023 season
  • 2x Intermediate MERs are required to compete

The National 3DE classes will follow a similar route to their CCI2/3*L counterparts, however tracks will be minimum length and some combinations will be of a lesser complexity.

BEDE Events have invested heavily in enhanced facilities at Osberton, with additional water supplies to the stabling area, a new roadway and a cracking new bank complex.  The re-vamped cross-country courses are being designed to have a more galloping and flowing start.

The Osberton CCI2*L and CCI3*L will both act as finales for BEDE Events Arena Saddles Novice League and the Investec Intermediate League, both of which have enhanced prize funds and run across all BEDE Events.
