Said Flora: “Anna bought him as a three-year-old from Padraig McCarthy and I really feel he is going to be a superstar.

“He made everything feel easy and we couldn’t be more delighted.  He will now have  a good rest before next season, but there is no rush with him and we will just take our time.”

Taking second place was a delighted Ginnie Turnbull with the attractive coloured, Saint Sir Dapper, owned and bred by Jonathan Canty.

Simon Grieve and Haselmere Rockey rounded off the top three, the grey gelding delighting the Leicestershire-based rider.

The feature section of the day, the class included a dressage test, showjumping and cross-country section incorporating a water jump, bank and ditch.
