Nunney International Horse Trials Set to Return for Three Action-Packed Days in June

The much-anticipated Nunney International Horse Trials returns from 13th to 15th June 2025, promising three thrilling days of top-level eventing at Southfield House near Frome, by kind permission of Mrs Angela Yeoman.

Firmly established on the British eventing calendar, Nunney attracts top-level international riders as well as grassroots competitors. Nearly 600 horse and rider combinations are expected to compete across a packed schedule that showcases the very best of the sport.

Bridget Parker, who won team gold for Great Britain at the 1972 Munich Olympics and now organises the event, said:
“We’re so looking forward to Nunney this year and expect a high calibre of entries at this popular event. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the Somerset countryside, watch horses and riders at their best, and soak up the atmosphere and camaraderie of this wonderful sport. We hope to see you at Nunney in June.”

The event opens on Friday 13th June with intermediate classes and international dressage, followed by BE100 and Novice classes on Saturday. Sunday features the prestigious CCI2-S and CCI3-S international sections**, which often attract riders preparing for major summer events.

New for 2025, the schedule includes classes for young talent, with dedicated sections for Under 18s and Under 21s, giving future stars a valuable platform to compete at an established international event.

Set in the rolling hills of Somerset, Nunney offers an ideal mix of top competition and a relaxed countryside setting. The cross country course runs through scenic parkland, while the main arena hosts showjumping surrounded by a range of trade stands offering everything from equestrian gear to country lifestyle essentials.

Visitors can enjoy a wide selection of food and drink, with a dedicated catering corner serving locally sourced produce. There’s also plenty of open space to walk, spectate, and soak in the atmosphere. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. This year’s nominated charity is Horse World.

Entry is £15 per car with ample parking on site.
