New member welcome – Coco

We are delighted to welcome 12-year-old Coco to British Eventing, who joined using the new member discount that is available to Pony Club and Riding Club members.
An active member of the Duke of Buccleuch Pony Club, Coco competed in her first BE event last weekend at Munstead Horse Trials, where she finished an extremely commendable fifth in the U18 BE80.
Since joining BE and registering for the BE80 Youth Programme with her grey gelding Show Me The Money (aka Archie), Coco has been enjoying the training on offer which helped her prepare for her BE80 debut. Coco has been desperate to do British Eventing so, having turned 12, she headed to Munstead with Archie and her mum Abby, for her first ever experience of a BE80 competition. Finishing in fifth drew, as I’m sure everyone can imagine, many happy tears not only from Coco but also Abby.
Abby said: “Coco has been desperate to do British Eventing for the last 18months, so she was very excited for her first event. She wore the watch that she got for her birthday in February to help her with timing across country. We went to Munstead for the experience with it being her first ever BE event, so for her to go double clear and finish fifth was incredible. It blew her mind and the tears from all of us when we found out showed how much it meant to us all.”
If you’re interested in becoming a member of British Eventing, just go to our website where you can find information about which membership is right for you as well as details about our training, competition structure, Youth Programme and championships.
Also, if you are a member of the Pony Club or Riding Club you can enjoy a ????????% ???????????????????????????????? in your first two years of Intro membership, if you haven’t been a member in the past three years!
