My journey to Bramham – part 2

With just a few months to go until the NAF Five Star BE80 Championships at Bramham International Horse Trials, we caught up intrepid qualified riders to find out how they are preparing for this year’s event.

If you have qualified for this year’s Championship, taking place on 6-8 June, don’t miss your chance to join the fun – entries open on 29th April.

Ebony Roderick and Ardlea Sir Peter
Ebony Roderick can’t wait to bring Ardlea Sir Peter, aka Podge, to the NAF 5* BE80 Championships. Ebony tells us her and Peter’s plans ahead of the championships:

“I have had Podge since April last year, and throughout the season he has made my dreams come true, some of our achievements including completing Blair castle BE90, representing the Northern region at the Youth Championships, qualifying for multiple regional qualifiers and of course Bramham!

“In preparation for Bramham, we are currently doing regular gallop work, interval training, show jumping and dressage competitions, and cross-country practice.

“We hope to have a run or two in the coming weeks as Podge is feeling very fresh and excited and needs to burn his energy off! Our main focus this winter has been dressage, as it is our weakest point in eventing. I am very excited and privileged to have the chance to run on Bramham soil and am really looking forward to June!”
