Member update: Payments

On Wednesday 1st June our website was updated to bring the payment process in line with the latest regulations within the banking industry, the Payment Services Directive. These regulations add additional fraud protection, called 3D Secure (3DS) to card transactions. These legislative changes will become mandatory for all payments completed on any website with any card by the end of this year meaning that the card holder will need to be able to authenticate the card payment at the time that it is processed.

3DS requires customers to complete an additional verification step with the card issuer when paying for items. Each card issuer will have its own authentication process but typically you will be directed to an authentication page on your bank or card issuer’s website and you will be asked to enter a passcode which is sent to your phone.

If you have not yet set up an authentication method for your card, please contact your bank to establish their authentication method.

Thank you for your patience whilst we have made these website changes and you have had to call the office to process payments. Please note that we will not process payments for entries through the office after July 1st so we urge you to ensure your authentication methods are in place
