ISLEHAM ANNOUNCE INCREASED INVESTMENT IN CROSS COUNTRY TRACK

The joint organisers of Isleham One Day taking place on the 23-24 July, at Whitehall Farm Eventing Complex, Isleham, Cambridgeshire, on the wonderful soils of the Cambridgeshire fens.

The event once again enjoys the support of Newmarket-based Rossdales Veterinary Surgeons who take on the sponsorship of all Sunday classes.  The generous sponsorship enables the event to pay enhanced prize money to the winners of the BE80 and BE90 classes on Sunday.

The venue has undertaken a programme of work and investment into the cross-country track during the early part of 2022.  Groundwork has taken place to allow alterations to Herbert’s Hollow, the Whitehall Farm Water Complex, Murfitt’s Mound, and the Fen Ditch Complex.  In addition to this, a new exit route from Clem’s Memorial Wood has been added, with new fences incorporated for the BE100 class.  Alongside the developments to the permanent feature fences at the venue, the joint organisers have also commissioned Burghley course builders, Philip, and Guy Herbert, to build and utilise 17 new fences.

The joint organisers are delighted with the works so far and look forward to unveiling the new look course to competitors in July.  The programme of works has a sustainable theme using recycled materials for several of the new course developments, including recited sleepers, and fallen trees.

Following the 2021 event the total sum donated to charity by Isleham Horse Trials has reached £212,300.  The event expresses its thanks to the event’s loyal sponsors, and of course, the owners and riders who regularly support the event, through wind, rain, snow and now summer sunshine.

The nominated charity for 2022 is confirmed as the East Anglian Air Ambulance.  This will be the sixth time that Isleham Horse Trials has supported this valuable service which offers an essential first response service for the rural and equestrian community.

Thank you to everyone that has entered.
