HORSE & COUNTRY ANNOUNCES EXTENSIVE LIVE COVERAGE ACROSS ALL FIVE DAYS OF THE LONDON INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW 2021

Members of Horse & Country’s streaming service, H&C+, have a treat in store this Christmas, with extensive live and on-demand coverage from every day of this year’s London International Horse Show (LIHS).

The live action starts on the morning of December 16th with the FEI Dressage World Cup Short Grand Prix featuring top riders including Charlotte Fry, Gareth Hughes and Charlotte Dujardin, who will be competing with her Tokyo Olympic partner, Gio. Thereafter viewers will be able to see world-class showjumping every day with Ben Maher, Scott Brash, Holly Smith, Harry Charles and a host of British and international talent all competing. There’s also showing and two driving classes, always a favourite with the LIHS audience.

On Friday 17th, there’s a chance to celebrate the successes of our Olympic and Paralympic medal winners from Tokyo 2020 with the Equestrian Team GBR Medal Parade. And for those wanting to get fully into the Christmas spirit, there will be eight different live opportunities to watch the ever-popular entertainment events for which the show is so renowned. Each performance will feature The Shetland Pony Grand National, The Kennel Club Agility and Jumping, and the Musical Ride of The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment. This year the line-up is completed by world-renowned equestrian performer Santi Serra, accompanied by four Arabian horses and a dog.

H&C+ members can also watch an exclusive half-hour interview with Charlotte Dujardin. In an in-depth conversation with Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes, Charlotte reminisces about her past successes at LIHS, including her and Valegro’s world record Freestyle test at Olympia in 2014, and looks forward to this year’s event at ExCel London. Charlotte Dujardin: The Magic of London premieres on H&C+ on December 9th.

Completing the LIHS line up is an exclusive preview of the show’s new home at ExCel London. H&C favourite Harrison Ashton meets up with Nick Brooks-Ward from HPower, the event organisers, for a guided tour of the venue. It’s a chance to see the arena and get behind the scenes at the stabling and collecting ring, not forgetting the all-important shopping village. Harrison Goes to London is on H&C+ from December 14th.
