Harry Hall One Club ACE series kicks off this weekend!

In just a few days, The Harry Hall One Club Anyone Can Event (ACE) series gets underway, with the first qualifier kicking off on 6 October at Newbold Verdon. The full list of qualifying venues and dates can be found here

Perfect for those beginning their British Eventing journey, the ACE series has been designed to appeal to riders of all levels of experience from the age of 10 years and upwards.

With four height categories starting at 70cm through to 1m, the series runs throughout the winter months. Non-members can compete at all the qualifiers that take place across the country, but they will need to join as a member (currently starting at £30 per annum) and register their horses for free if they wish to contest the Final, which takes place at Aintree Equestrian Centre in the Spring.

The ACE series involves competing over both a show jumping and cross-country styled course, within an arena environment, whilst still providing the thrill of an eventing competition. Placings are decided by both clears and the optimum time. Riders will also compete wearing their cross-country kit including cross-country colours.

Courses are built by certified course-builders, within BE’s guidelines and will offer riders to take on a course of show jumps followed by a simulated cross-country course of knock-down fences.

Each competition is a qualifier for the Championships and there are branded Harry Hall One Club rosettes given to 1st to 3rd place, as well as a discount offer for the Harry Hall online shop. The number of qualifying tickets awarded to each class will be dependent on the number of entries, further information of which can be found here.

The ACE series culminates in the exciting Championships, held at the famous Aintree International Equestrian Centre, home of the thrilling Grand National where riders can enjoy three days of fun, thrills and action, while making new friends and life-long memories. Kate Stott and her 16-year-old gelding Ryans Butterscotch won the Harry Hall One Club Senior 80cm ACE Championship: “We had a really good few days. I competed in the warm-up class and came second with ‘Chip’. It was a really great experience – everything is well organised and everyone has been really friendly. This was our first stay away show and it was amazing, especially with the racecourse and historic surroundings – it was a really good show.”

Jessica Buxton took the Harry Hall One Club Senior ACE 1m riding Marcus Aurelius III: “Qualifying and competing here was the highlight of my year so far with him. We jumped the warm up class but he felt a bit tired as we’d travelled up from Newmarket. I was a bit apprehensive walking the course for the championship as it was a real test and we knew it would take some riding. But he was on form and was absolutely fantastic. We jumped a clear round but were a bit fast so got a few speeding penalties, but I was buzzing.”

British Eventing are delighted that Harry Hall One Club will once again be sponsoring the championships following the event’s success in the last two years. It’s great to see so many ACE champions have now successfully stepped into eventing during the summer.

The British company Harry Hall has been synonymous with equestrians since 1891 and their passion to deliver the very best brands and products continues as much today as it did more than a century ago.  With a mission to make riding and horse ownership more affordable, the Harry Hall One Club was launched in 2017 offering exclusive product discounts, year-round savings, free delivery, access to riding technology and much, much more.
