The second day of dressage at the European Championships for Ponies at Strzegom in Poland produced some top-class dressage performances, including three super tests for our British combinations.
Ella Howard and Midnight Mist III got the day off to a perfect start for Great Britain, delivering a brilliant test to dip under the 30 barrier and take the lead with a score of 29.9. That score proved good enough to leave them well inside the top 10 at the end of the dressage, finishing the day in 7th place.

Next up for Britain was Phoebe Sykes, competing as an individual with Ive Dun Talking. The pair gave it everything to post a personal best score of 32.4 and to finish the day in 17th place individually.

Last to go for Great Britain, and the anchor leg of the team, was Charlotte Cooke and Liscannor Tulira. The soaring temperatures did nothing to distract them, and they delivered a fabulous test for a score of 28.2 to leave them lying 5th individually and to help the team keep hold of the bronze medal position heading into tomorrow’s cross country.
