British Eventing are delighted to announce Grace Moran as the new Chair for British Eventing Scotland.
Grace, who has competed up to CCI4* level has been a member for more than thirty years and juggles her eventing life with running a family transport business with her family as well as being a mother of two.
British Eventing CEO Rosie Williams said of the appointment “I was extremely impressed by Grace during the interview process. She didn’t shy away from the challenges of Eventing in Scotland and had some extremely good ideas on how we could collaborate to get it back to where it used to be for both existing and prospective members.
“As a starter we will be holding two engagement events, dates for which will be shared shortly. We really want to sit down and engage with all stakeholders and members with a view to helping us find the solutions we need. We will also be working to re-engage with a number of organisers to help us provide appropriate events from members in Scotland”.
In respect of her appointment Grace Moran said “I am very much looking forward to taking on the Chair of British Eventing Scotland. Eventing in Scotland is entering a new era with the sad loss of many of our great events over the last few years and not least Blair running for the last time this year. However, we have a loyal and enthusiastic membership and I am confident with the support of British Eventing and the membership we can start to rebuild and develop new opportunities north of the border.”
