In a major new initiative for the sport of eventing GO BE is being included at Aske Horse Trials in July giving non-members, or those that wish to have unpublished results, the chance to compete at this prestigious North Yorkshire venue.
One of the region’s premier horse trials, Aske – July 9 and 10 – provides a fantastic setting with excellent ground for competitors in the north, and is now open to more riders than ever before.
Aske, which is run by the team at BEDE Events, will be running GO BE classes at both 80cm and 90cm levels alongside their other BE classes.
Said Stuart Buntine of BEDE Events: “This is a real step forward for the sport with all BE sections, including the new GO BE sections, opening at the same time”.
“We want to assure BE members that priority will always go to the membership only sections with decisions on how many GO BE entries we will take made on the ballot date.
“This new initiative gives competitors the opportunity to compete at Aske, a great venue, and an event with full medical and veterinary cover, over approved courses by BE officials and an approved standard of competition.”
GO BE offers a British Eventing experience in a three phase competition, without the pressure of published results. As well as being open to those members wishing to run with unpublished result, the sections are open to Non-BE Members and horses without a season ticket. Competitors will just be required to register for free as an Associate and the horse will also need a free registration.
This well-established event runs over undulating park land on the Aske Hall Estate with the Georgian country house near Richmond in the background.
Thanks to support from the Earl and Countess Ronaldshay the event is held in picturesque surrounds and always proves popular with competitors across the levels.
Sections include BE80, BE90, BE100, BE100 Open, Novice, Open Novice, Intermediate and Open Intermediate, GO BE 80 & 90.
