The Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian ™ gets underway tomorrow (Thursday 28 April), with four British riders hoping to take the first 5* title of 2022.
British combinations to look out for
US-based Leslie Law and Tre’ Book’s Voltaire De Tre’ will be the first of the British combinations to make their challenge – having been drawn third to go on the start list, they will begin their dressage at 1.24pm local time (6.24pm British time) on Thursday.
Pippa Funnell has taken two horses over to Kentucky – her own and Marek Sebestak’s, Majas Hope and S.H.E. Eventing’s Maybach. She begins her campaign with Majas Hope at 3.56pm EDT (8.56pm in Britain) on Thursday and follows up with Maybach at 4.14pm (9.14pm British time) on Friday.
Current Blenheim Champions, Yasmin Ingham and Banzai Du Loir owned by Janette Chinn and Sue Davies will be hoping to add a good 5* run to their list of successes – their dressage time is 3.18pm EDT (8.18pm in Britain) on Friday.
The last of the four Brits to get their competition underway will be Sarah Bullimore and her European Championship Bronze medallist, Corouet owned by herself and Brett Bullimore and the Kew Jumping Syndicate. The home-bred gelding begins his 5* debut at 3.50pm local time (8.50pm British time) on Friday.
