It’s all systems go for the Nunney International Horse Trials, now in its 13th year, set to take place from 14th to 16th June at Southfield House near Frome in Somerset. Organised by Bridget Parker, this year’s event promises an unforgettable experience for both competitors and spectators alike.
With the excitement of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 looming large, anticipation is high for the British eventing team to repeat their gold medal success from Tokyo 2020. Mrs. Parker, a former Olympic gold medalist herself, understands the thrill of competition, having won team gold at the Munich Olympics in 1972 riding Cornish Gold.
Reflecting on her own Olympic journey, Mrs. Parker said, “Running an event in an Olympic year is always incredibly exciting as all sports come under the spotlight, including eventing. I’m rooting for our country to bring home a good haul of medals once again.”
Under Mrs. Parker’s stewardship, Nunney International Horse Trials continues to thrive, attracting over 800 competitors across three days of thrilling competition. From grassroots riders to seasoned international competitors, the event showcases the best of equestrian talent against the picturesque backdrop of Southfield House.
