Final CCI4*-S winners crowned for 2022 at Little Downham

The last CCI4*-S classes of the season were contested at Little Downham International in Cambridgeshire today, with wins for Ireland’s Susie Berry and Japan’s Kazuma Tomoto.

Kazuma Tomoto took the win in Section B with the Japan Racing Association’s Brookpark Vikenti. The pair had been well-placed after dressage on a sub-30 score of 29.9 and delivered two strong jumping performances to seal the win.

In Section C, the top honours went to Susie Berry and Anne Marling and Sue Wilkinson’s nine-year-old gelding, Wellfields Lincoln. On a day when clear jumping rounds were at a premium, Susie and Wellfields Lincoln delivered two super rounds. They added just 8.4-time penalties on the cross country to climb from 10thplace after dressage up into the top spot.
