**EVENT UPDATES** – Bovington (1) & Llanymynech (1)

Bovington (1) – Cancelled

Due to the current adverse weather conditions, and despite an improving forecast, Bovington (1) rescheduled to run on 4th & 5th May, has been cancelled.

Steph Buchanan of RAC Saddle Club who run the event at Bovington Horse Trials said: “The site is still extremely wet and typically takes several weeks to dry out. With this in mind it, was felt the best way forward is to cancel the event to allow British Eventing to potentially consider other competition opportunities for the membership in the South West.”

 Llanymynech (1) – Cancelled

All competition at Llanymynech (1), scheduled to run on 11th & 12th May, has been cancelled.

The Organisers said: “Despite an improving weather forecast, the ground is still very wet and any attempt to carry out preparations would require considerable extra cost in time and materials which, if demand for the event was higher, would be achievable and readily done. Therefore, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the May event.”

Full refunds for all entries for both events will be processed ASAP.

British Eventing will continue to look at additional competition opportunities to replace, where possible, these lost runs. Any additional events and days of competition will be announced in due course. There will also be an announcement later today in relation to further rule changes regarding qualifications for the 2024 Youth Championships.
