Following lots of heart wrangling, the team at Goring has made the very hard decision to cancel Goring (2), due to run 2-3 September 2023.
“We were thrilled to run a successful unaffiliated event earlier in May, but the new lay field is clearly not ready to withstand another event again, this year. We only want to produce an event run to the highest of standards. We are sure you will expect that too.
“We would like to thank BE for all their advice helping us reach this decision. Their knowledge, support and understanding should never be overlooked or underestimated.We would also like to thank our loyal supporters, competitors, owners, volunteers, traders and sponsors for their understanding. Please don’t give up on us. We are gutted but will be back.”
