The organisers of Dauntsey Park Horse Trials appreciate a number of competitors will be disappointed by the decision to cancel DPHT (2) at the end of September. With the extra costs involved moving the Tuesday sections to Thursday for DPHT (1) due to the heatwave and the declining entries for DPHT (2), when clashing with Osberton and an unaffiliated Championship  at Calmsden (20 miles) on the same week-end, it is not financially viable to run the second event.
