Cycle 4 Caroline – how to join and support

The public have been welcomed to join the final leg of the Cycle4Caroline ultra endurance cycle challenge, from Windsor Castle to The Savoy Hotel, and ride alongside some of the equestrian world’s biggest names as they cycle into London.

Cycle4Caroline, the ultra-endurance charity cycle ride, launched by Piggy and Tom March, gets underway Wednesday 20th November. Starting, in potentially snowy conditions, at Blair Castle, Perthshire, the cycle ride is set to cover 1,200km and aims to raise £500,000 for Spinal Research and the British Eventing Support Trust.

Joining Piggy and Tom are, BE Support Trust Chair of the Board of Trustees and three-time Olympian Ian Stark OBE, Support Trust Patron Alastair Wilson, and multi-medallist Holly Woodhead.  Piggy’s sister Nini French, herself a top-level eventing rider, Brett Bullimore, husband of European Bronze medal winner Sarah Bullimore, and Racesafe’s Tommy How.

Making the long trip from New Zealand to join the challenge is Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Research Trust founder in Catriona Williams MNZM. Catriona was formerly one of New Zealand’s leading international equestrian riders. Following a riding accident in 2002, she is now C6/C7 tetraplegic and confined to a wheelchair.

A number of special guests are due to be announced, along the way.
