Belsay International Horse Trials are pleased to be included among the list of prestigious venues hosting a leg of a charity cycle ride in aid of the British Eventing Support Trust and Spinal Research.
A welcoming party of Belsay International Horse Trials sponsors, volunteers, competitors and supporters will be at the Hall together with children from Belsay School and Mowden Hall School on Friday 22nd November from 2-4pm to welcome the cyclists taking part in the the Cycle 4 Caroline charity cycle challenge.
The landmark charity ride, which will cover over 1,100km, has been launched by leading eventing rider Piggy March, and husband Tom, in memory of Tom’s sister Caroline March, who sadly passed away in March 2024 following life changing injuries sustained in an eventing fall in 2022.
Joining Piggy and Tom March will be a core team of cyclists including, BE Support Trust Chair of the Board of Trustees and three-time Olympian Ian Stark OBE, Support Trust Patron Alastair Wilson, and multi-medallist Holly Woodhead.
Belsay International Horse Trials will be a hosting an afternoon reception at Belsay Hall on Friday 22nd November as they await the riders and celebrate their arrival. Northumberland Coffee and North Acomb Farm Shop, both regular traders at the horse trials, will be in attendance ready to refuel riders and visitors alike!
The cycle ride aims to raise £500,000 for the vital work carried out by Spinal Research and the British Eventing Support Trust. The challenge starts on Wednesday 20th November at Blair Castle, and concludes on Saturday 30th November at The Savoy, London, followed by the BE Support Trust Charity Ball.
