British Eventing thank retiring BE Scotland Chair John White

It was with mixed emotions that British Eventing (BE) said thank you to John White at the BE Scotland AGM when he retired from his position of Chair, BE Scotland.

John is synonymous with the sport, having been involved and an instrumental person for the sport of eventing in Scotland for many years. A former member of the Horse Scotland Board following a ten-year tenure as their Performance Director, John has also served on the committee of Mortonhall Horse Trials and its subsequent successor, Hopetoun.

Rosie Williams OBE, Chief Executive for British Eventing said: “As Chair, John has worked hard alongside the board at British Eventing for the benefit of both the sport as a whole and our members in Scotland. His commitment to the sport is evident to anyone that knows him and he has worked tirelessly to promote it as best he can, even during illness.

“On behalf of myself, the board and the sport as a whole, I would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude and thanks for everything he has done for eventing in Scotland. His passion for eventing and determination to drive the sport forward has been inspiring, and we wish him all the very best in his future ventures.”
