British Eventing Survey – THANK YOU

Rosie Williams, CEO of British British Eventing, would like to thank everyone who responded to last week’s member survey.

In excess of 1500 people responded to the survey which was sent to all members, including associate members and those who receive our newsletters, asking for feedback on the sport and how they would like to see it shaped in the future.

About the survey, Rosie said “The feedback, which represented responses from individuals of all ages and geographic regions, has proven to be extremely constructive and of great value.  We are already actively discussing the key findings and all comments and suggestions put forward are being read and considered. The results of this survey will greatly assist us as we take British Eventing forward.”

Some of the key statistics received are as follows:

  • 1542 respondents,
  • 89% of respondents were female
  • 53% of respondents were over 45 years old.
  • 62% have been members for 5 years or more
  • 43% of respondents contest 6 – 10 events per year
  • 27% compete in BE80
  • 51% in BE90/ BE100 *
  • 97% of respondents were satisfied with safety measures at BE events
  • 65% engage with British Eventing through social media
