At British Eventing, equine welfare is our top priority, and we have in place comprehensive measures to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our horses.
We are committed to ensuring that all our members comply with our rules. These include a Code of Conduct that supports human and equine welfare and which is at the forefront of all stages of the preparation, training and competing of horses and includes all activities, both within and outside of the competition environment.
Any breaches of our rules are treated extremely seriously and all reported incidents are investigated. Should any incident that breaches our horse welfare rules be proven, British Eventing will issue a disciplinary sanction which will be recorded and (where the member in question is not a minor) also published on the British Eventing website.
For anyone who wishes to report an incident, this should be done either to a BE Official on event, by contacting the British Eventing office during office hours through the switchboard number 0330 174 8196, or by email to safeguarding@britisheventing.com.
British Eventing is committed to animal welfare.
