Due to the current adverse weather conditions there has been a scheduled date change for Bovington Horse Trials(1) that was scheduled to run on 20 – 21 April.
The site is extremely wet and typically takes several weeks to dry out. With this in mind it was felt the best way forward, to ensure that the fixture could still go ahead, would be to move it back by two weeks. Bovington (1) will now run on 4-5th May.
Steph Buchanan of RAC Saddle Club who run the event at Bovington Horse Trials said “We felt we had no choice but to try another date to run as the site is so wet that we knew there wouldn’t be sufficient time for it dry out. By moving to the beginning of May it will give extra time for the ground conditions to improve and dry out after the severe weather patterns of recent months. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Fixtures Committee to agreeing to our request; their proactive approach has meant that the BE members have best chance of having an enjoyable experience at Bovington.”
