BE new members offer – exciting opportunity for British Riding Clubs members to come eventing

From today, British Riding Clubs members will be able to enjoy a 40% New Member Discount* on an Introductory membership with British Eventing. This fabulous reduction will apply for two years, giving more riders the opportunity to train and compete with BE.

The introduction of this offer comes at an exciting time for riders wanting to have a go at affiliated eventing, as BE launches a number of new initiatives to support those entering into the sport.

The new Harry Hall One Club Anyone Can Event (ACE) series is designed to appeal to riders of all ages and experience, offering classes from 70cm up to 1m. It is an Arena style eventing competition, where riders compete over a course of show jumps followed by a simulated cross country course of knock-down fences.

The series will run throughout the winter months and into spring, providing riders with the ideal opportunity to get out, develop their skills and enjoy competing during the shorter daylight hours – plus the chance to pick up a coveted qualifying ticket for the Championship Finals, set to be held next spring at the stunning Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool.

Members that join now and go on to qualify for the Championships of BE’s Arena Eventing Series to be held at Aston Le Walls ahead of the 2023 Eventing season starting, will be able to benefit from reduced entry fees and priority entry for these Championships.

New members will also be able to benefit from participating in a fantastic new regional training programme, which will be delivered via The Howden Way Regional Academy framework. The new programme will give riders access top class training and education within their local BE community, enabling all BE members to train like an Olympian! The Howden Way Regional Academies will launch before the end of the year making it a perfect time to consider taking out your first 12-month membership, which will also carry you through the 2023 season!

Helen West, Chief Executive for British Eventing said, “We look forward to welcoming Riding Club members into the BE family and to provide them with additional opportunities to participate in our wonderful sport. We are here to support all riders make the step into BE as easily as possible and working alongside the team at British Riding Clubs will allow us to do just that.”

Rachael Hollely-Thompson, Head of British Riding Clubs, said, “It is great to see our BRC members being offered the opportunity to step into affiliated eventing in this way. British Riding Clubs have seen many of their members enjoy great success with British Eventing, it’s not unknown for our members to qualify for the BE80 or BE90 Championships in their first year of competition. Our own competition structure lends itself incredibly well to developing horses and riders to the point where they can confidently step into affiliated competition alongside their ongoing activities with both their own club and nationally with BRC. For them to be able to do so in such an affordable way is something that we feel will be very well received by our membership. We look forward to working with British Eventing on this initiative and being able to promote our own members’ successes along the way.”
