Applications now open for Le Lion D’Angers FEI WBFSH Eventing World Championships for Young Horse 2024

Applications are invited for the FEI WBFSH World Breeding Eventing Championships for Young Horses at Le Lion d’Angers, France from 17-20 October 2024.

Applications by CoP 9th September 2024. Applications after this date will only be accepted if places are not filled.

Applications maybe pending the full Championships MER’s. Please see the FEI, QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS WBFSH Eventing Championships for Young Horses 2024.

Young Horse Championship 6 years old, subject to confirmation in the published schedule:

Obtain an MER according to 2022 Eventing Rules Article 517 criteria as a combination between 01 January 2023 to Nominated Date 2024 at 1 CCI2*-S with the following additional criteria:

  • Zero obstacle penalties on XC (activating a maximum of one frangible device will maintain the MER result on Cross Country) ฀
  • Max 4 penalties on obstacles (max one rail down) in the Jumping test

Young Horse Championship 7 years old subject to confirmation in the published schedule:

Obtain an MER according to 2022 Eventing Rules Article 517 criteria as a combination between 01 January 2023 to Nominated Date 2024 at 1 CCI2*-L and 1 CCI3*-S with the following addition criteria:

  • Both with zero obstacle penalties on XC (activating a maximum of one frangible device will maintain the MER result on Cross Country)
  • Both with max 4 penalties on obstacles (max one rail down) in the Jumping test.

ALL MERS must be achieved by date of nominated entries: See Schedule when published form nominated date.

Please see the Selection Policy for the full selection process (can be found on BE website here: https://www.britisheventing.com/compete/championships/young-horse-championships ).  The intent will be to inform combinations who have been selected and those on the reserve list ranked in order of merit post Cornbury.

Eleven (11) combinations will be informed for the 3* L 7yr Old Championships with the option of adding one (1) wildcard before the definite entries should the selectors deem fit. If the wildcards are not used, then the reserves will automatically move up the list.
