Alan Nolan produced a stylish performance to win the HorseQuest Novice Masters at Cirencester Park, riding Kate and Guy Hingley’s Ceceia De Muze. The pair finished on their impressive dressage score of 27.4, topping a competitive field.
“We ran him here in the Novice Masters as a setup for the rest of the season really,” said Alan. “You get the long arena for the dressage, the larger showjumping, and the cross-country course here at Cirencester is always fantastic, so it gives them a great experience. It’s actually his first event of the season, so for him to come here and win is fantastic. We’ll be looking to do more of the Novice Masters throughout the year, progressing towards some two-stars, and we’ll take it from there.”
Alan and Ceceia De Muze led from start to finish, with a standout performance across all three phases.
Second place went to Giulia Ceccatelli riding LVS Vincenzo, who finished close behind on 30, while third was snapped up by Emily Kemp and Boleybawn Arctic, completing on a score of 32.2.
The Novice Masters series offers a brilliant platform to highlight up-and-coming combinations, offering valuable experience at events across the country.
In addition to becoming the Cirencester Novice Master, Alan also received a HorseQuest rug, numnah, HorseQuest riding socks and a £50 HorseQuest voucher. Giulia’s prizes included a HorseQuest numnah, riding socks and a £30 HorseQuest voucher, and Emily received HorseQuest fleece gilet, riding socks and a £20 HorseQuest voucher.
