As per previous communication, which can be found here, please note that refunds now sit directly with the organisers. We have updated the list below of abandoned events and their current refund status for ease.

Please bear with the organisers as there is a lot of work to do to sort out the details of the insurance claim – like any insurance claim this involves the organisers and insurers agreeing on the full value of the claim. It is particularly difficult if the event was partially abandoned as this makes the assessment much more complicated.
Please see the rule book for BE’s refund policy. This sets out the minimum level of refund a member should expect. Events that have taken out their own insurance are able to pay out more than the minimum percentage required.
For members that competed in 2022, very few abandonments took place and members benefited from lower entry fees with the removal of the abandonment insurance premium (AIP), that had reached 15% of the entry fee. BE’s Abandonment Refund Policy Working Party are keeping this policy under review and will consult with key stakeholders in due course as we plan for 2024.
We would like to thank our organisers who have been working hard to ensure that refunds are processed as soon as possible. We would also like to thank our members for their patience and now that the weather is beginning to stabilise we hope to see you out enjoying the sport at BE events.
